They are either held in our Toowoomba Auction rooms, 3 Railway Street, Toowoomba QLD or on-site, Australia wide. Floor Bidders Bidders who are attending our live auctions must register their full name, address and identification at the bidder registration office. Once you are registered you will be given a bidders card and number, this card can then be used whilst bidding for the duration of the auction. A potential buyer must be a registered bidder to participate in the auction. Successful floor bidders must make payment on the day of sale by one of the below methods, customers paying by direct deposit must produce a printed bank verification of payment to the office. Absentee Bidders Those collectors who cannot attend the auction, in person, have a number of options to leave pre-registered bids. A completed 'Absentee Bidding Form', downloadable from our home page, must be received at least 3 working days prior to the auction commencing. You may send your completed absentee bidding form via: post - GDL Auctions, 3 Railway Street, Toowoomba QLD 4350, Australia email - info@gdlauctions.com fax - 07 4613 1111 All successful absentee bidders must pay the total amount owing within 14 days of invoice date by one of the below methods. Live Internet Bidding Live Internet bidding is available for selected Major Auctions. Where live internet bidding is available out website will have a link to the Live Bidding Provider. Live Internet bidding will incurs an additional 2.5% to the hammer price. Live bidders will be bound to the Terms and Conditions of GDL Auctions and the Live Bidding Provider. Live Telephone Bidders Any phone bidding on the auction day, must be pre-arranged with the auctioneer (conditions do apply). We remind customers that telephone bidding can be unreliable and GDL Auctions are not responsible if communication methods fail at the time of auction. Late absentee bids No responsibility is taken for absentee bids received after the advertised closing day, this includes bids left 'on the day' by floor bidders and postage that arrives after the closing date. Payment Methods All payments are to be made in Australian dollars. Cash Cheque (with photographic identification) EFTPOS Credit Card - Visa or Mastercard only (2.5% surcharge) Direct Deposit - using lodgement reference and EXACT invoice total amount - no rounding please. Late payment may incur a penalty or interest charge. Non Payment - any bidders who do not pay their invoice in full within the said, period may forfeit the purchase of goods and may be barred from bidding at any future auctions. Buyers Premium As is the practice in all states of Australia, our buyers premium is 13.75% added to the final hammer price (this includes 10% GST on the premium only). This allows the Auctioneer to sell goods at a reduced commission for the vendor. This means if the final bid is $100, an additional $13.75 added giving an invoice total of $113.75. For those lots which attract a GST, the GST will be included in the hammer pirce - ie: it will NOT be a charge additional to the hammer price. Condition reports GDL Auctions endeavours to give clear and accurate condition reports on all lots. Whilst every care is taken, the Auctioneer does not accept responsibility for items described incorrectly either in the catalogue or at the auction. It is possible minor damage or highly professional restorations may be over seen. The Auctioneer will inspect any lots on behalf of absentee bidders who wish to lodge their bids by post, email or fax to ensure that the lots are as described in the catalogue. Floor bidders are encouraged to use the viewing time to examine the condition of any lot thoroughly, as we have a 'no return' policy on floor bids. Where any lots sold to an absentee bidder are found to be genuinely 'not as described' the auctioneer will offer a full refund. We are experienced in packing glass, china and all types of collectables using bubble wrap, foam chip and cardboard boxes.
