World Cruise HAPAG Art Deco Germany / 1936 / Travel Posters / Hein Kaske / 84x60 Original vintage travel advertising poster in German published by the Hamburg America Line company HAPAG to promote its world cruise services on the Reliance steamship from January to May. Great Art Deco design by Hein Kaske (b 1901) featuring the cruise liner ship sailing across a calm sea past various world landmarks and ancient ruins, including the Great Sphinx of Egypt and Mount Fuji in Tokyo Japan with palm trees in the foreground and a blue sky overhead, the title in stylised blue letters above with the rest of the text below. The SS Reliance was launched in 1914 and served HAPAG's routes from 1926 until 1938 when she was gutted by a fire in Hamburg; she was scrapped in 1941. Printed in Germany by Muhlmeister & Johler, Hamburg. Very good condition, faint creases and small restored tears.
