Capri Grand Hotel Quisisana Italy / 1938 / Travel Posters / 99.5x69 Original vintage travel advertising poster for the Italian island of Capri located in the Bay of Naples and The Grand Hotel Quisisana (the hotel name means "here one heals" due to its origin as a sanatorium since 1845; the hotel was opened 1861 and became a member of The Leading Hotels of the World in 1986). Stunning photomontage image of a young lady sitting on a terrace overlooking the sea with the Faraglioni rock formations and famous stone archway visible on the horizon, set against a yellow sunshine background with the stylised text above. Printed in Italy by Saiga, gia Barabino & Graeve, Genova. Very good condition, restored tear on right margin, revenue stamps above the title, backed on linen.
