Colourful and dynamic artwork by the German artist Wilhelm Renfordt (1889-1950) featuring a red horse jumping over a wave design with the stylised text above and below; on the back of the poster there is handwritten text in German - Exhibition Temporarily Closed. Named after the notable Renaissance artist Albrecht Durer (1471-1528), the Durerbund (1902-1935) was founded by the German publisher Ferdinand Avenarius and the art historian Paul Schumannof as an organisation of writers and artists with strong influence on the middle class intellectual life in the German Reich, Austria and Switzerland.
