Douglas Fairbanks was an American silent movie actor best known for his swashbuckling roles in movie classics such as Robin Hood, The Mask of Zorro and The Three Musketeers. He was also a director, producer and screenwriter and one of the founding members of United Artists. He hosted the first Oscars ceremony in 1929.
