Endless Summer Price: £425 | Size: Argentina 1 sht - 29"X43" | Grade: Fine | Year: 1966 The Endless Summer was the crown jewel to ten years of Bruce Brown surfing documentaries was cult viewing from the day of its release. The search for the perfect wave. Filmed in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii and California. In the early days, from 1964 to 1966, the film did the rounds of the university colleges with live commentary by Bruce Brown, whereupon the film was picked up by Cinema V and distributed worldwide. All the posters use the same iconic John Van Hamersveld image, including this one from the first release in Argentina. This first release poster is printed using the now obsolete stone litho printing method which provides brighter, more vivid colours than modern offset litho presses and so is very similar to the sought after screen printed US versions that fetch £1500 or more. Folded, as issued, with minor professional edge repairs on the rear that do not show from the front.
