Thunderball Price: £3,750 | Size: US 6 sht - 81"x81" | Grade: Fine | Year: 1965 Thunderball was the first Bond film to feature artwork by Robert McGinnis but it was to set a visual style that continued for the next 20 years with McGinnis becoming the definitive Bond artist, just as Sean Connery was widely seen as the definitive Bond. For many people the artwork for Thunderball was his best work. Added to this, Thunderball actually sold more tickets than any other Bond film before or since which makes this something of a landmark poster. It's also very, very rare - 6 sheet posters were printed in four sections and pasted onto billboards so they were always destroyed when used with the only survivors being a very small number of unused copies. This poster is from the film's first release, folded in excellent condition.
