ARP Calling Art Deco Pat Keely UK / 1938 / Propaganda Posters / Pat Keely / 76x50.5 Original vintage recruitment poster issued in the lead up to World War Two by the Air Raid Precaution ARP service, which was set up in 1937 to protect citizens from air raids, manage the sirens and report bombing incidents: ARP Calling You - Get into touch with your local council. Colourful and strong design by the notable British poster artist Pat Keely (Patrick Cokayne Keely, d. 1970) showing a stylised image of a whistling siren against a deep blue background with the text in bold orange letters above and below in red and blue letters with the ARP crown logo. Printed for Her Majesty's Stationery Office by Fosh & Cross Ltd., London. Excellent condition, backed on linen.
