Original vintage propaganda poster issued in the Soviet Russia few years after the October Revolution. Powerful image of a man looking very much like Vladimir Mayakovsky pointing a finger at the viewer. The message reads: Did you help the starving children of the Volga region? Hurry up! This poster was issued duting the The Russian famine of 1921–22, also known as Povolzhye famine. It was a severe famine in Russia which began in early spring of 1921 and lasted through 1922. This famine killed an estimated 5 million, primarily affecting the Volga and Ural River regions. Horizontal. Very good condition, faint fold lines, repaired tear and folds on margins. Printing defect on the left margin.
