Lee-Hankey / 101.5x126.5 Original vintage travel advertising poster published by the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote the L.N.E.R and LMS (London Midland and Scottish) train services to the Scottish town of Dunoon - The Centre for Clyde Pleasure Sailings express services and cheap fares by L.N.E.R or LMS. Fantastic aerial view by the painter and illustrator William Lee Hankey (1869-1952) over the pier at Dunoon harbour featuring seagulls flying above sailing boats and cruise liner ships at the port with the seafront, trees and town centre churches, houses and municipal buildings leading to fields in the distance, the text below in white and black letters. Dunoon is located on the Firth of Clyde near Glasgow on the west coast of Scotland. Printed in Great Britain by McCorquodale & Co., Ltd., Glasgow & London. Horizontal. Very good condition, restored folds, minor tears and loss, light staining, backed on linen.
