It's up to us to let 'em have it! - featuring a dramatic image by the British painter and illustrator Clive Uptton (1911-2006) depicting British troops at the Normandy landings (codenamed Operation Neptune) on 6 June 1944 (termed D-Day), the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during WW2, with soldiers pressing forward over the dunes in the foreground and smoke and explosions in the air, at sea and on land behind them as tanks are off-loaded from Navy transport ships, fighter planes battle overhead and soldiers continue to land on the beach from smaller landing boats, fighting their way up the sand dunes with their machine guns and other weapons, the bold text in red letters above and in black letters below.
