The VF1000 range of Honda motorcycles was made from 1984 to 1988 and is named after its V-4998cc double overhead cam, 16 valve engine. The first of Honda's 1,000cc VF range, known as the 1000 Interceptor, was launched in the USA and Canada in March 1984. The bike featured adjustable Pro-Link rear suspension with adjustable braced front forks, aluminium wheels and an aerodynamic half fairing and lower cowl with single rectangular headlight. Three discs comprised the braking system with dual discs and twin piston callipers at the front and a single disc with twin piston callipers at the rear. The current vendor purchased this VF1000 in 2008 and immediately put the motorcycle into his collection, it been used only sparingly since. Presented in very good condition, we are advised it is a delight to ride, helped largely by the well balanced V-4 configured engine. Supplied with a V5C registration document, this Honda VF1000 represents an opportunity to purchase a great classic bike of the 80's.
