Large, Twice Flown Section of Nose Gear Tire; First to Fly on Two Separate Shuttle Missions, Atlantis & Columbia BF Goodrich Space Shuttle Orbiter large nose gear tire segment first to fly on two different missions (as set of two) flown on Shuttle Missions STS-27 (Atlantis) and STS-28 (Columbia) 8 months later. Segment is 9" in length where at the cross sectioned ends, one can easily see the twin high strength steel bead wire. Each tire was filled with nitrogen and weighed 205 pounds. Comes with a bit of history, documentation, COA by Ken Havekotte, photos and NASA "Facts." Outstanding piece of Shuttle Orbiter history and the first time Goldberg Auctions has offered such an exceptional flown tire segment.
