Marilyn Monroe: Three Exceptional Newswire Photos Including One With Arthur Miller and One With Clark Gable Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) Model, actress, singer, dancer and legend. Three vintage original 8 x 10" (some trimmed for publication) news photos two from the 1950s and one from the 1960s. 1.) Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller in London (1956) to form a Beat-The-Censor Club by writers, actors and producers with the formation of the New Watergate Theater Club, a private membership theater aiming to mount plays banned by the Lord Chamberlain, Lord Scarborough. Miller debuted "A VIEW FROM A BRIDGE" there after it was found "unsuitable". 2) From acclaimed photographer Eve Arnold for Magnum Photos, a vintage original print of Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe on the set of THE MISFITS which ultimately was the last scene of the film. A criminally underrated film, it turned out to be the last film for both Clark Gable who died 12 days after shooting was completed and Monroe's last completed film. Eve Arnold was sent by Magnum to chronicle the film shoot and stamped on verso is Magnum Photos and Eve Arnold. 3.) Marilyn Monroe at Idlewild Airport, July 1958 prior to boarding a TWA Non-Stop sleeper flight to Los Angeles. She was going to Hollywood to film 'Some Like It Hot" accompanied by Arthur Miller in this original, newswire photo.
