Nelson Cruise Ship Line to South America UK / 1930s / Travel Posters / 102x64 Original vintage travel advertising poster for Nelson Line to South America featuring the steamer ship, Highland Monarch (1928-1960). Colourful image of the map of South America featuring a route map marking Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Montevideo and Buenos Aires on the blue sea, as well as mountain ranges, jungle, desert and fertile green areas inland, rising up from the ship's smoking funnel as she sails forward leaving an outline of the city in the background with a tug boat at her side, waves splashing in front. Nelson Line was British shipping company formed in 1880 initially as a trading line to South America, offering passenger services from 1910; in 1932, the company was merged into Royal Mail Lines. Good condition, folds, repaired minor tears.
