The Ferrari California is a grand touring sports car with a 2+2 hard top convertible configurationand was initially powered by a front-mid mounted naturally aspirated 4.3-litre V8 engine. The California was launched at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, the car represented a number of firsts for Ferrari; the first front engined Ferrari with a V8, multi-link rear suspension, dual clutch transmission and the first Ferrari with a folding metal roof. The 2010 California had a top speed of 193 mph and could accelerate from zero to 62 mph in under four seconds; the California is built in a new production line adjacent to the existing factory at Maranello.
