The Ferrari F355 was launched in May 1994 with two models available: the coupé Berlinetta and the Targa Top GTS. The Spider became available in 1995 whilst in 1997 the Formula 1-style paddle gear shift was introduced with the Ferrari 355 F1, the F designation being dropped before the 355 which added a further £6,000 to the dealer list price. Apart from the displacement increase from 3.4 to 3.5 litres, the major difference between the V8 engine in the 348 and F355 is the introduction of a five-valve cylinder head. This new head design allowed for better intake permeability and resulted in an engine that was considerably more powerful, The F355 was the last in the series of mid-engined Ferraris with the Flying Buttress rear window, a lineage going back to the 1965 Dino 206GT. Total production of 11,273 units made the F355 the most-produced Ferrari at the time. Since its import to the UK from the Middle East in 2015 this desirable late model 355 F1 has benefitted from a thorough recommissioning by several of the UK’s leading Ferrari specialists including Emblem Sports, Grimaldi, Meridian Modena and Joe Macari. Having covered only 40,225 miles and with receipts showing over £20,000 worth of work since it’s import this car is mechanically strong. Also benefitting from a new hood this 355 F1 looks smart in Nero black with black interior. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document, history file with all receipts for the work carried out and a Mot test certificate valid through until February 2019.
